Prayer Ministry

PRAYER MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

 PRAYER ROOM MINISTRY

Each day, prayer concerns of our church family and the community are lifted up to God in our Prayer Room which is located at the back of our sanctuary.  Volunteers are asked to come for about one hour on a specific day each month to participate in this ministry. Contact Betty Jobe at
928-9648 if you would like to serve with us.

PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY

Volunteers are notified by email or telephone of prayer concerns so that they can lift these concerns in the privacy of their own homes.  Mary Lucas activates the email chain and Mary Holliday begins the telephone chain.  Contact Mary Lucas at 990-6673 or Mary Holliday at 928-7650 if you would like to join this important ministry.

PRAYER BOXES

Prayer boxes and prayer cards are located throughout our church so that requests can easily be made.  These concerns and praises are lifted daily by our prayer room volunteers.  All prayer request are held in strict confidence and can be made anonymously if you wish to do so.  Contact Mary Lucas at 990-6673 or Betty Jobe 928-9648 for more information.

WEEKLY PRAYER CARDS

Personal notes are sent weekly to those making a prayer request.
This is to convey that their prayer requests are being lifted in prayer each day in the prayer room.

PRAYER BLANKET MINISTRY

Blankets are cross stitched with scripture and personalized.  These blankets are given to individuals who have ongoing health concerns.  "Stitch-ers",
"sew-ers", and "pray-ers" are needed to prepare the blanket before it goes to its new home.  The idea is to have our loved ones covered in prayer.  Contact Sarah Stacey at 928-5309 for more information.

 SOLDIER PRAYER PARTNER MINISTRY

Individuals may adopt a serviceman or woman as they serve our country.    Contact Beth Haynes, 990-9242 to adopt a serviceman or woman.  An electric candle will be given to each pray-er for hope in their journey.

PRAYER PARTNER MINISTRY

Individuals are partnered with staff and pray for them daily.  This ministry has been a blessing for the individuals as well as the staff persons.

Be careful for nothing; but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
