PrAYER MINISTRY

OPPORTUNITIES

PRAYER ROOM MINISTRY

Each day, prayer concerns of our church family and the community are lifted up to God in our Prayer Room which is located at the back of our sanctuary.  Volunteers are asked to come for about one hour on a specific day each month to participate in this ministry. Contact the church office at 928.1148 if you would like to serve with us.

PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY

Volunteers are notified by email or telephone of prayer concerns so that they can lift these concerns in the privacy of their own homes.  Contact the church office by email or by phone to activate a prayer chine for your prayer concerns.   office@fairhopeumc.org or 251.928.1148

PRAYER BOXES

Prayer boxes and prayer cards are located throughout our church so that requests can be easily made.  These concerns and praises are lifted daily by our prayer room volunteers.  All prayer requests are held in strict condfidence and can be made anonymously if you wish to do so.  Contact the church office 251.928.1148 for information.

WEEKLY PRAYER CARDS

Personal notes are sent weekly to those making a prayer request.  This is to convey that their prayer requests are being lifted in prayer each day in the prayer room.

FOLLOW UP PRAYER CARDS

Volunteers contact individuals who have made a prayer request.  This assures the follow up care that is so greatly needed.

PRAYER BLANKET MINISTRY

Blankets are cross stitched with scripture and personalized.  These blankets are given to individuals who have ongoing health concerns.  "Stitch-ers", "sew-ers", and "pray-ers" are needed to prepare the blanket before it goes to its new home.  The idea is to have our loved ones covered in prayer.  Contact Sarah Stacey at 928-5309 for more information.

SOLDIER PRAYER PARTNER MINISTRY

Individuals may adopt a serviceman or woman as they serve our country.    Contact Marion McKnight, 990-9227 to adopt a serviceman or woman.  An electric candle will be given to each pray-er for hope in their journey.

Be careful for nothing; but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
