Care & nurture
Grief Ministry
Sent to families of members who have died to comfort them through the first year of the grieving process.
Note Ministries
Offering love and support to our members, to offer a word of encouragement, and simply as a means to stay connected with our members so we can care and nurture them. This is done by sending notes and cards to assisted living residents, homebound & hospital discharged.
Shepherding the Flock
Cards are sent to those recovering from or fighting an illness
Soldiers Ministry
Sending notes to military service personnel & their families.
Homebound Note Ministry
Encouraging cards are sent to those who are homebound.
Assisted Living Card Ministry
Cards of care are sent to those who are living in assisted living facilities.
Hospital Discharge Note Ministry
Notes of praise for release from the hospital.
Community offerings
Support Groups
Al-Anon
A support group for families who have a family member or friend who struggles with alcohol. Meets every Friday at 5:30pm.
Caregivers Support Group
Offers compassion and empathy for persons caring for loved ones 24/7. Meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30am.
Seeking Peace Grief Group
For individuals who are recovering from loss & finding ways to heal in this new season of life. Meets every Monday at 2:00pm.
Survivors of Suicide
For persons whose loved ones have died by suicide. This group offers listening, reassurance, understanding and information. Meets 2nd & 4th Mondays at 6:30pm.
Tough Dogs Cancer Support Group
For individuals whose lives have been affected by cancer. Meets the 2nd & 4th Tuesday at 12:30pm.
Community Outreach
Knit/Crochet for a Purpose
Handmade items given to Fairhope UMC Ministries and beyond. Meets Mondays at 10:00am.
Tough Dogs/Tough Pups Chemo Care Bags
Specific items collected and assembled in cloth bag to give to adults and children 5-12 receiving chemo treatment. Bags are given to local cancer centers for distribution. Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm.
Durable Medical Loan Closet
Donated medical equipment loaned to individuals in the community free of charge. Items are returned when no longer needed.
Connectional Care
Birthday Celebrations
Gatherings to celebrate members birthdays & connect with each other.
In-Home Communion
Provided by request to individuals who desire to have communion brought to their home on the first Sunday of each month.
Flower Ministry
Each week, names are submitted for delivery of bouquets made from the altar flowers.
Merry Methodist
A quarterly luncheon for those 60 and over for fellowship and connection.
RTC Ministry (Ride To Church)
Provides rides to church
Telephone Calls
Calling our church family with birthday & anniversary wishes and wellness checkups.
Visitation
Visiting church family who are in hospitals, assisted living facilities and homebound.

Weekly Bible Study
To enhance our knowledge by learning the significant events and people in each book of the Bible.
Walking by Faith
3 days a week of walking in the Christian Life Center. Meets at 4:00pm.
Weekly Book Discussions
Offers encouragement & insight for one’s faith journey. Meets Mondays at 1:00pm
food ministries
Bread of Life
Quarterly cooking ministry that prepares casseroles for those experiencing crisis situations.
Funeral Food Ministry
Provides meals for funeral receptions.
The Lords Pantry
Food assistance boxes are a one time distribution to families on an emergency basis. This pantry is supplied by the congregation as well as other food drives.
Printable Donation List
Manna on Wheels
Home cooked meals prepared on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Meals are delivered upon request to church family & community.

Stephen Ministry
A program that equips lay persons in the congregation to provide one-on-one Christian care giving to those who are experiencing life’s difficult transitions both in our church family and community. Those receiving care can be assured that their identity in the caring relationship will remain confidential.
