Laura joined the staff at Fairhope UMC in 2013, and serves as Associate Pastor and Minister of Adult Spiritual Growth. She was raised in Gainesville, Georgia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, received her BBA in Economics from the University of Georgia and proudly represents her Bulldogs in the land of AU and UA. After a career in mortgage banking, she answered a call to ministry and received her Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Ordained an Elder in the North Georgia Conference, she served as an Associate Pastor at both Mountain Park UMC in Lilburn, GA, and Mt. Zion UMC in Marietta, GA, and was active in leadership at both the District and Conference Level for many years. Laura relocated to Fairhope in 2009 with her husband and lost him to cancer in 2015. She transferred her credentials to the Alabama West Florida Conference in 2015. On her days off, you can find Laura perfecting a new recipe, reading the next selection for book club or planning her next travel adventure.
