“I will never leave you or forsake you.”  - Hebrew 13:5c

This morning I woke up humming a song I used to sing as a child in church. ”Through it all” by Andrae Crouch. Over the past few years, I have caught myself singing this song under my breath or humming it in my mind during challenging times.

”I've had many tears and sorrows

I've had questions for tomorrow

There's been times I didn't know right from wrong

But in every situation

God gave me blessed consolation

That my trials come to only make me strong

Through it all

I've learned to trust in Jesus

I've learned to trust in God

I've learned to depend upon His Word

I thank God for the mountains

And I thank Him for the valleys

I thank Him for the storms He brought me through

For if I'd never had a problem

I wouldn't know God could solve them

What song do you sing in hard times? 

What are you going through today?

You may be thinking, I don’t know how I could ever get through this. Or you may be battling powerful feelings of despair, suffering, confusion, fear, worry, and even anger. These are all normal responses to tragedy.

But as difficult as this life storm maybe, you are not alone. God is with you always. He loves you and cares about what is going on in your life. He hears your cries and sees your pain. Moreover, He understands. Through it all… You can trust God. He promised that he will never leave you or forsake you.

Let Us Pray:

Ever-present God, thank you for never leaving or forsaking us no matter how difficult our lives get. Through it all, remind us you are with us.

Through it all, remind us to trust you.

Through it all, remind us to depend upon your Word.
